MITSUBISHI BRAKE DISC

Grey Cast-Iron Grade G3000 – the same material specified on every Mitsubishi production line.

Cast, machined and 100 % dimension-checked in our ISO/TS 16949 plant for true OE quality.

1. OE-EXACT GEOMETRY

– CNC-turned outer diameter, height and bolt circle to Mitsubishi blueprint—no spacers, no shims, no ABS errors.

– Hub pilot diameter held ± 0.02 mm for wobble-free, run-out-free installation.

2. Grey Cast-Iron G3000 chemistry

– 3.3 % C, 2.0 % Si, 0.7 % Mn, 0.15 % P max, 0.12 % S max—exact recipe used on Lancer, Pajero, Triton assembly line.

– Pearlite matrix gives 200-230 HB hardness for long wear, excellent vibration damping and thermal shock resistance from –40 °C Nordic winters to +650 °C mountain descents.

3. VENTILATED “TWIST-VANE” CORE

– 36 curved vanes pump 15 % more air than straight-vane discs; rotor temperature drops 60 °C in repeated 0.9 g stops.

– Core still cast in one piece with friction rings—no welded seams to crack under rally-style loads.

4. SURFACE & BALANCE

– Non-directional swirl finish, Ra ≤ 1.8 µm—pads bed-in after only 20 city stops, no greenfade.

– Dynamic balanced to ≤ 1 g side-to-side; eliminates mirror shake at Mitsubishi’s 120 km/h (75 mph) highway cruise.

5. ANTI-CORROSION FINISH

– Electro-zinc coating on hat, outer edge and vane mouths—96 h salt-spray per ASTM B117, no rusty hats behind alloy wheels.

– Friction faces left uncoated for immediate use; first stop wipes off protective oil film.

6. NOISE & DUST CONTROL

– Precision-chamfered edges and 0.35 mm radius under-cut slots prevent “pad-knock” rattle and squeal.

– Compatible with low-met OE pads—keeps wheels cleaner than competitor drilled rotors.

7. TESTED TO OE LIMITS

– 300-cycle AK-master test (100-30 km/h, 3.5 kW power input) shows wear ≤ 0.35 mm—well inside 0.5 mm Mitsubishi wear limit.

– Thermo-shock cycle: heat to 500 °C, water-quench at 20 °C, repeat 50×—no micro-cracking, no distortion > 0.05 mm.

8. SERVICE LIFE & FITMENT

– Expected life: 70 000–90 000 km normal street driving; 35 000 km severe duty (taxi, high-speed motorway).

– Direct replacement for selected Mitsubishi cars & SUVs—see reverse for VIN/chassis table.

– Always replace in axle pairs and use Mitsubishi-specified pads for optimum performance.

INSTALLATION REMINDER

Clean hub flange with wire brush, apply anti-seize on wheel-to-hub contact only, torque bolts to 108 N·m (M12) or 88 N·m (M10) in star pattern, bed-in with 8 moderate stops from 80 km→30 km allowing 30 s cooling between each.
