Grey Cast-Iron G3000 – cast, machined and 100 % dimension-checked to Chevrolet OE standards for factory fit, strong bite and long US-mileage life.

Produced in an IATF-16949 plant that also ships to GM assembly lines worldwide.

1. TRUE GM OE GEOMETRY

– CNC-turned outer Ø, thickness and bolt circle to Chevy CAD data—drops on without spacers, shims or re-machining.

– Hub pilot and ABS tone-ring notch held ± 0.01 mm—zero lateral run-out, no brake judder or ABS codes.

2. GREY CAST-IRON G3000 COMPOSITION

– 3.3 % C, 2.0 % Si, 0.7 % Mn, ≤ 0.15 % P, ≤ 0.12 % S—identical melt used on Silverado, Equinox, Malibu, Cruze.

– Pearlite matrix, 200-230 HB: excellent wear resistance, high thermal conductivity and natural vibration damping for smooth US-highway driving.

3. HIGH-CAPACITY VENTILATED CORE

– 48 directional vanes (or 32 straight on smaller discs) pull 18 % more air, cutting peak temp 70 °C during repeated 70-0 mph stops.

– Single-piece casting—no welded seams to fail under full-size truck loads or Rocky Mountain descents.

4. SURFACE FINISH & PRECISION BALANCE

– Non-directional swirl, Ra ≤ 1.6 µm—beds-in within 20 stops, no greenfade.

– Dynamic balanced ≤ 0.8 g—steering-wheel shake free at Chevrolet’s 130 mph (210 km/h) highway test.

5. ANTI-CORROSION COATING

– Electro-zinc on hat, outer rim and vane mouths—96 h salt-spray per ASTM B117, survives Michigan winters and coastal humidity.

– Friction faces uncoated for immediate use; light oil film burns off on first brake application.

6. QUIET, LOW-DUST PROFILE

– Radial & lateral chamfers plus 0.30 mm under-cut slots prevent pad-knock and squeal.

– Optimised for GM D3EA-validated low-met and ceramic pads—low dust, no black rims on chrome-clad wheels.

7. VALIDATION TESTS

– 300-cycle AK-Master (70-20 mph, 4 kW power) wear ≤ 0.35 mm—within GM 0.5 mm limit.

– Thermal shock: 500 °C → 20 °C water quench, 50 cycles—no surface cracks, distortion < 0.03 mm.

8. SERVICE LIFE & FITMENT

– 80 000–100 000 km (50 k-60 k miles) normal street use; 40 000 km severe duty (taxi, police, mountain routes).

– Direct replacement for selected Chevrolet cars, SUVs and pickups—see reverse for RPO code / VIN list.

– Replace in axle pairs and use Chevrolet-specified pads for optimum pedal feel and ADAS compatibility.

INSTALLATION NOTE

Clean hub face with wire brush, apply thin anti-seize on contact shoulders only, torque wheel nuts to 140 N·m (M14 trucks) or 110 N·m (M12 cars) in star pattern.

Bed-in: 8 moderate stops 60 mph → 20 mph with 30 s cooling between each.
